The majority of the prophecies in the Bible deal
with Israel. The prophetic timeclock itself is set around Israel's existence.
Indicating the return of Christ is near, there
is no sign in the world today greater than the existence of Israel!
The story of Israel as recorded in the Bible
1. God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish
people in an everlasting covenant:
Genesis 13:14-17: And the LORD said unto Abram,
after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from
the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed
for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a
man can number the dust of the earth, [then] shall thy seed also be numbered.
Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it;
for I will give it unto thee.
Genesis 17:7: And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
2. God established the borders of Israel:
Genesis 15: 18: In the same day the LORD made a covenant
with Abram, saying,Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river
of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
Exodus 23:21: And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea
even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river:
for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou
shalt drive them out before thee.
3. Israel was scattered among the nations
because of disobedience:
Deuteronomy 28:64-65: And the LORD shall scatter
thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other;
and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers
have known, even wood and stone. And among these nations shalt thou find no
ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give
thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
Israel was scattered as a nation, both in the days recorded in the Old Testament and in the distant future as a result of the Romans destroying Jerusalem and the Holy Temple in AD 70.
4. God promised to restore the Jewish people
to Israel:
Jeremiah 16:15: But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the
children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither
he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave
unto their fathers.
God allowed Israel to be scattered in days of old, but restored them as promised above. Remember, He'd made an everlasting covenant!
God allowed Israel to be scattered after AD 70, but He restored them as a nation again! In 1948, Israel was brought back into its lands, reborn on the world stage as prophesied in Ezekiel 36:24: "For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land."
Ezekiel's vision of the Valley of Dry Bones, detailed in Ezekiel 37,
is one of the greatest prophecies in the Bible, part of which we have seen fulfilled in modern times and may yet see fulfilled in its entirety!
In Ezekiel 37:11, we see the Jewish people cut off from one another, seemingly a people without hope.
In Ezekiel 37:12-14, God reveals that He will bring the hopeless and scattered nation of Israel, the Jewish people, back from the dead. He will place them in their own land - the land He gave unto Abraham and all his seed after him as an everlasting possession! (Genesis 17:8)
In Ezekiel 37:15-22, we see it prophesied that the regathered, reborn nation of Israel wouldn't consist of two nations, Judah and Israel, as it had in ancient times but would be one united nation. True to God's Word, Israel has existed as one united nation since its rebirth in 1948.
Beginning in Ezekiel 37:23, we see an Israel that will exist in the future - an Israel wherein Jesus Christ will sit bodily upon the throne of David and dwell physically among His people.

5. God promised Israel's lands would blossom
in the last days:
Isaiah 27:6: In the days to come, Jacob will take
root, Israel will bud and blossom and fill the world with fruit.
6. God promised to make the nation of Israel
mighty in battle:
Zech 12:8: On that day the LORD will shield
those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like
David, and the house of David will be like God, like the Angel of the LORD
going before them.
7. Jerusalem
will be a burden to the entire world in the last days:
Zech 12:2-3 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling
unto all the people round about when they shall be in the siege both against
Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome
stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in
pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered
together against it.
8. The Antichrist will make a seven-year peace
covenant between Israel and her enemies leading the world into the tribulation
period:
Daniel 9:27: And he shall confirm the covenant
with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice
and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall
make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be
poured upon the desolate.
Daniel 8:25: And through his policy also he [the prophesied Antichrist] shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand
1st Thessalonians 5:3: For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
9. The Antichrist will enter a rebuilt Holy
Temple 3 1/2 years into the peace plan and proclaim himself to be God:
Daniel 9:27: And he shall confirm the covenant with many
for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice
and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he
shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined
shall be poured upon the desolate.
2nd Thessalonians 2:3-4: Let no man deceive you by any means:
for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and
that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth
himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he
as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
10. The children of Israel will have to flee
into the wilderness to escape the Antichrist after he proclaims himself to
be God as he will try and kill them all:
Matthew 24: 15-21: When ye therefore shall
see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand
in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which
be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not
come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in
the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with
child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight
be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great
tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time,
no, nor ever shall be.
11. The entire world's armies will come against
Israel in the last days:
Zech 14:2: For I will gather all nations against
Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and
the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and
the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
12. Israel will finally call upon the name
of Jesus Christ, its Messiah, in desperation, asking Him to help them:
Matthew 23:39: For I say unto you, Ye shall
not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the
name of the Lord.
13. Jesus Christ will return with the armies
of Heaven to defeat the Antichrist:
Revelation 16:16: And he gathered them together into a place
called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Revelation 19:7-16: And I saw heaven opened, and behold
a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and
in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of
fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that
no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in
blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were
in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and
clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should
smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth
the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on
his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF
LORDS.
Zechariah 14:3-4: Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight
against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet
shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem
on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward
the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and
half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward
the south.
14. Jesus Christ will defeat the armies of
earth by speaking them out of existence:
Revelation 19: 20-21: And the beast (the Antichrist)
was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him,
with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them
that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire
burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that
sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls
were filled with their flesh.
15. Satan will be bound and Christ will set
up His millenial kingdom in Jersualem where He will sit on the throne of King
David for 1000 years:
Revelation 20:2: And he laid hold on the dragon, that old
serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Isaiah 9:7: Of the increase of his government and peace
there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to
order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth
even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
16. Satan will be loosed and will organize
a revolt at the end of 1000 years of Christ's reign:
Revelation 20:7: And when the thousand years
are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to
deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog,
to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the
sea.
17. Jerusalem will be surrounded by the armies
of earth once again, but not for long:
Revelation 20:9: And they went up on the breadth
of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved
city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
18. Satan will be thrown into the lake of
fire to be burned forever:
Revelation 20:10: And the devil that deceived
them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the
false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
19. Christ will judge the unsaved and ungodly
at the Great White Throne Judgment:
Revelation 20:11-15: And I saw a great white
throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled
away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and
great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened,
which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which
were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the
dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were
in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death
and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
20. The heavens and earth will pass away,
new Jerusalem will come down, and mankind will enter into eternity with the
Lord:
Revelation 21:1-2: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no
more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God
out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Isaiah 9:7: Of the increase of his government and peace there
shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order
it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even
for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and
thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and
ever. Amen.
