The End of The World?
by Michael G. Mickey

The biggest obstacle I find myself trying to
get past in the minds of people is the misconception the battle of Armageddon
represents 'the end of the world'. A more accurate explanation is the battle
of Armageddon will coincide with the return of Jesus Christ, which will be
the end of the world as we currently know it!
There is absolutely no scriptural evidence to
support the concept of the destruction of earth being anytime in the near
future or otherwise yet people continue to say I am predicting the end of
the world. Why is that? S-A-T-A-N! SATAN!
Satan is the one who has started this lie concerning
the future of our planet in an attempt to steal from the Lord Jesus Christ
His rightful title of Savior! We don't call Jesus Christ our Savior for nothing,
as I'm about to show you!!!!!
In spite of all the things Satan has done and
continues to do to harm humanity, people are blind to his tactics, willing
to believe Jesus - someone who loved us enough to suffer and die a miserable
death on the cross - would stand by and allow all God's creation to be destroyed!
It's just another lie and we must resist it with all our might!
To truly understand what is going to happen,
we need to look at what the Bible tells us is going to happen. That's where
the true explanation of what will transpire concerning the fate of the earth
is found.
Jesus returns at the battle of Armageddon to
save the world from destruction at the hands of Satan, the Antichrist, the
false prophet, and their armies as seen in Mark 13:20: And except that the
Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's
sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
At the end of the battle of Armageddon, Jesus
Christ will reign upon the earth for a period of 1,000 years. At the end of
that reign, which is most often referred to as the millenial reign of Christ,
there will be a renewal or changing of the earth, but it will not be destroyed and cease to exist.
Revelation 21:1: And I saw a new heaven and a
new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and
there was no more sea.
Here are some more scriptural references to the
eternal earth proving repeatedly the battle of Armageddon will not be the
end of the world:
Isaiah 9:6-7: For unto us a child is born, unto
us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his
name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting
Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his
government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and
upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with
justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will
perform this.
Ephesians 3:21: Unto him be glory in the church
by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Isaiah 45:17: But Israel shall be saved in the
Lord with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded
world without end.
Psalms 102:25-26: Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
Psalms 104:5: Who laid
the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
Ecclesiastes 1:4 : One generation passes away
and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth forever.
When God says world without end, He means world
without end! When He says the earth abideth forever,
He means the earth abideth forever!
