Obama’s Fundamental Transformation

By

Eric Bruni

At the ‘Change We Need Rally’, in Missouri , during Obama’s campaign, Obama made this statement:

“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America .”

A powerful statement indeed.  One that every freedom loving, God fearing, American should have taken notice of.

We are witnessing that ‘fundamental change’ right now and, amazingly, not many people seem to have a problem with it.  I think that is due to the fact that so many in our country today have no notion of what fundamentals are.  We have made standing for issues so convoluted that any issue, no matter how immoral, can be one that people fight for.  But what do fundamentals really mean for us as Americans?

When someone has a fundamental belief in something that means it is their core belief and the foundation by which they stand.  Christian fundamentals are from the Bible.  Muslim fundamentals are found in the Koran.  American fundamentals are found in The Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights.

Whoa!

Did you catch that?

If Obama wants to ‘fundamentally transform’ America he has to start by ‘transforming’ the core beliefs found in the above documents.  Hence, the ‘Change’ that was touted by all of his disciples.

The United States of America has been the greatest nation on the face of the planet for over 200 years.  I truly believe that.  And that fact is due to the core foundation of belief that our founding fathers fought and died and pondered to establish.  That foundation was built on the belief in our divine creator and his plan for human dignity and free will under God’s righteous law.  Our founders believed the words of Christ:

24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”(Matthew7:24-27)

This great nation was built on a strong foundation and now enemies that have infiltrated it desire to change that foundation to suit their selfish desires.  And, as anyone knows, when you destroy the foundation of a strong structure, that structure is doomed to fall.  It cannot hold up the weight of itself and in the end it will collapse.

That is exactly what we are looking at today.

If we stand idly by and watch, we will see the collapse of this once great nation.  I don’t know about you but that would break my heart.

I served my country during the Gulf War and it meant a great deal to me.  To watch this all transpire and see Americans, especially Christians, stand by and let it happen is just too much for me to bear.  When I see Glenn Beck on television get all teary eyed, I know there are people out there who say “Oh, please.  Don’t be so over dramatic.”

Why?

Don’t you care?

People like Glenn and me and a lot of others see the dream of this great nation that God has given to a people who refused to be lead by earthly kings and instead opted for self rule under God’s grace and law.

And we weep at seeing her possible fall.

But many like me also believe in redemption and rebirth.  We can do this, America!

Don’t let selfishness or apathy block the truth.  When you go to the polls, remember.

Or you can just do nothing and hope for the best.  However, if you chose this option you may find Jesus saying:

“Oh America , America , you chose a lie over the truth and evil over good.  And so what has been given to you will be taken away.”

GOD FORBID and God Bless you all,
