The Jerusalem Post reports that French President Nicolas Sarkozy has declared that Iran is building a nuclear weapon. Sarkozy told French lawmakers, "It is a certainty to all of our secret services. Iran is working today on a nuclear [weapons] program. We cannot let Iran acquire nuclear weapons because it would also be a threat to Israel." It also has been reported that the man who occupies the Oval Office has given in to Russian demands that the US not deploy defensive missile systems in the Czech Republic and Poland in an attempt to get Russia on board with stronger sanctions against Iran. Trouble is, the sanctions have never worked and Iran has accelerated its nuclear development.
The White House also has pressured Israel to come to the peace table with the Palestinian Authority. The White House has told Israel that America's pressure on Iran regarding nuclear weapons is tied to Israel's cooperation on peace negotiations. The White House has demanded that Israel not continue rehabbing apartment buildings in East Jerusalem for Jewish settlers because the Palestinian terrorists are demanding that peace is at risk if they continue. The White House wants Israel to agree to dividing its nation into two parts so that the Palestinians can have a nation made up of Gaza in the West and Samaria and Judea in the East with a connecting road through the middle of Israel.
Meantime, on the domestic front, the man who occupies the Oval Office has told the American people unequivocally that no taxpayer money will go to fund abortion in his socialized medicine scheme. According to Time Magazine's Michael Scherer, the new socialized medicine bill offered in the Senate would pay for healthcare plans that do offer abortion. In addition, it would set up self governing Co-Ops that "would allow for each Co-Op to make its own decision about what abortion services to cover, but this is not explicit in the document." In other words, both the House and the Senate bills allow for taxpayer money to be used for abortions. Focus on the Family says some $6 billion would fund these Co-Ops.
It is horrible that an American president would out and out lie to the public about using taxpayer money to kill the pre-born--a Constitutional violation of the God given right to life. And to capitulate to the evil enemies of Israel and America by taking the pressure off of Russia and Iran while at the same time applying pressure advocated by terrorists to Israel is unconscionable. The Lord said before judging Israel in Jeremiah 7:8, "Behold, you trust in lying words, that cannot profit." Will Americans trust that spilling innocent blood and dividing the land of Israel will have no consequence? Or will the righteous stand this day against these deceivers?
