For those of you following along, we are progressing steadily toward the new world order defined in Bible prophecy, particularly in the aftermath of the recent G-20 meeting in London.
A byproduct of the G-20 meeting is now playing itself out as detailed by a Washington Post article. What follows are some key excerpts from that article (emphasis added mine):
Inside a cavernous assembly hall in downtown Washington, dignitaries gather twice a year for routine meetings of the International Monetary Fund. Before long, though, the room could take center stage in the IMF's transformation into a veritable United Nations for the global economy.
Surrounded by blond wood paneling and a digital screen the size of a cinema's, central bankers and finance ministers would meet to convene a financial security council of sorts. Serving almost as ambassadors to the IMF, they would debate ways to put out the world's economic fires and stifle reckless policies before they ignite new ones.
Bowing to a new economic world order, the IMF would grant fresh powers to the likes of China, India and Brazil. It would have vastly expanded authority to act as a global banker to governments rich and poor. And with more flexibility to effectively print its own money, it would have the ability to inject liquidity into global markets in a way once limited to major central banks, including the U.S. Federal Reserve.
And...
"The IMF is changing, and with it, there will be a sea change in the way the world economy is run," said C. Fred Bergsten, director of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. "Their role will dramatically shift. You're talking about monitoring fiscal stimulus, moving toward tighter regulations for financial institutions. You're talking about global economic management in a way we have never seen." [More...]
The connection to Bible prophecy, for those who may read this and be less familiar with Scriptures relevant to what we're seeing unfold? The 13th chapter of the book of Revelation details a time coming in the prophetic future when one man - the prophesied Antichrist - is going to have power "given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." (
Revelation 13:7)
One method of controlling the masses is going to be through the utilization of something those of us familiar with Bible prophecy refer to as the mark of the beast. It is described in
Revelation 13:16-17:
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
A logical first step in this becoming a reality is a global means of economic management and oversight being created.
In the lead-up to the G-20 summit, I and a host of others who keep a keen eye on where our world is headed, viewing the news of our time through the lens of bible prophecy, voiced concerns that significant progress might be forthcoming where the development of a new world order is concerned.
Now, in the wake of the G-20 summit, we see a bigger, bolder role emerging for the International Monetary Fund - one that will see it "bowing to a new economic world order" according to the Washington Post. Their words, not mine.
Comfort one another
Christians, we know where this is headed. Because we do, let me remind you of where
we are headed soon - to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
What we are seeing, albeit on the prophetic horizon, are the founding stones upon which events that will transpire in the Tribulation Period to come are being built. This is frightening to some, but it shouldn't be. After all, where does Bible prophecy see us being when the Tribulation Period BEGINS?
John 14:1-3, the words of Christ:
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
Patience, faith and perseverance, Church. Everything is going to be alright.
Keep looking up!
If you're reading this having never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I don't want to frighten you more than you may already be, having just read the above, but I implore you to take what you have read seriously. If
the rapture of the Church occurs and you are
left behind to endure the Tribulation Period to come, you are going to wish with all your heart you had accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior sooner. Salvation is free and yours to obtain thanks to Jesus Christ, our Lord, and you can't get to heaven without Him. Think it over and visit our site's
