Will Smith, Angelina Jolie and the End Times

by Michael G. Mickey
(6-20-08)

Actor Will Smith, star of the upcoming movie "Hancock" and formerly the star of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", "Independence Day" and "Men In Black" has, apparently, surrendered his Christian faith in favor of pursuing Scientology with his pal, Tom Cruise.

A Fox News story indicates that Will and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, "have won critical acclaim for pumping nearly $1 million of their own money into a new private school that will offer organic meals, laptops for every student and an environment of learning based on "equity" and "respect" to create "citizens of the world.""

Citizens of the world. Already, it sounds New Age/new world order-like, doesn't it? If I stopped this commentary right here there it would be bad enough to consider but it gets worse.

The school in question, The New Village Academy, "plans to use some teaching methods developed within the Church of Scientology and has hired a team of Scientologists to put them into action." How tragic!

Will Smith and his wife are, arguably, one of the most beautiful couples in Hollywood, their love for one another being on clear display everywhere they go. As Hollywood goes, Will and Jada's marriage, seems one of the best and the love they show for their children? There is no doubt in my mind that the Smith family is a genuinely loving family which makes this commentary all the more hurtful for me to write.

The Fox News story states that Will Smith, in April, said the following, "I am a Christian. I am a student of all religions. And I respect all people and all paths."

Is Will Smith a Christian?

Whenever a Christian calls themself a student of all religions, I arrive at the obvious conclusion which is they are not a Christian, particularly when they begin testifying of their respect for "all paths." Why? Because there is only one path to eternal life; only one school of thought that a Christian should be a student of! One and only one!

Jesus Christ said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

Jesus is the path to eternal life and the path isn't a super highway as Will has apparently come to believe. The path is narrow and it leads to one destination and only one - to the feet of Jesus Christ!

Absent of the repentance of sins and the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, everything else is an off-ramp that leads to the many paths Satan has set up that all lead to one destination as well, interestingly enough.

Unlike the narrow path that leads to salvation, Satan's paths are wide and fork in a million different directions, with a myriad of travel modes one can utilize to arrive at one's destination. All paths other than the one that leads to Christ leads directly to hell as we are plainly told in the Word of God.

Matthew 7:13-14: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

What has happened to Will Smith and his lovely wife is they have fallen prey to the mumblings of a false prophet - in this case actor Tom Cruise who is, according to many, a primary leader of the cult of Scientology.

Sure, Tom Cruise has a great smile and, from everything I have ever heard of him, he is one of the nicest people in all of Hollywood, but beneath his winning smile he has become a wolf, probably because he once befriended a false prophet who led him down the seductive pathway that is spirituality without Jesus Christ!

Matthew 7:15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Dazzling smiles, pretty faces, tremendous wealth and charm aren't synonymous with sound doctrine, but look at how effective they can be utilized! Assuming Will Smith ever truly understood Christian doctrine, he has totally blown a fuse where remembering its teachings are concerned as a direct result of Tom Cruise.

In the story linked above, Smith says of Scientology, "I was introduced [to] it by Tom [Cruise], and I’m a student of world religion. I was raised in a Baptist household, I went to a Catholic school, but the ideas of the Bible are 98 percent the same ideas of Scientology, 98 percent the same ideas of Hinduism and Buddhism.”

A student of world religion?

In the Bible we're told that a world religion is going to eventually take shape that will see a man claim to be mankind's god and, ultimately, be worshipped as such. The ecumenical mindset that Will Smith and millions of others are falling victim to is paving the way for the worship of Antichrist to occur in the prophetic future, perhaps in the not-too-distant future as frightening as that is to consider.

Pray for Will Smith and his family

I've always sensed Will Smith to be a decent man, a loving husband and a wonderful father. Likewise, I've always sensed Jada to be a great mom and wife. Thus, it breaks my heart to see them traveling down the pathway into Scientology. More than that, I hate to see them preparing to raise their children in it. How sad it is to see such beautiful and talented people! We should remember the Smith family in prayer. Not only should we keep them in prayer, we should pray for lost humanity everywhere as the hour is late as the prophetic warning signs manifesting themselves around us on every side these days indicate.

Religion, Angelina Jolie style

Setting Will Smith and family aside, anyone who turns on the television or reads practically anything these days knows all about the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie family that is already large and soon to grow again when Angie gives birth to their latest kids, twin girls if memory serves me correctly.

While a lovely couple to be sure, Brad and Angie aren't married and have no plans to be anytime soon. Not only is that sad in terms of the values they're sharing with their growing pack of kids, it was revealed a few days ago that Angie used to enjoy experimenting with being a vampire with one incident of playing with knives going so wrong she ended up in the hospital, according to a Telegraph article. This potentially clears something up concerning her past that never made a lot of sense to me - why she wore a vial around her neck containing actor Billie Bob Thornton's blood of all things. Thornton and Jolie, some of you may remember, were married at the time. The potential that Angie has had a macabre interest in the occult aside, I want to draw your attention to something she said recently that appears in an AOL News story concerning a recent Vanity Fair article on Jolie.

Concerning religion and her children, Jolie said the following, "Brad got me this great thing for Christmas. It’s a bookshelf that has a book on every religion. That’s how we plan to raise our kids. Teach them about all religions. They can pick one or be a student of all of them. We'll celebrate Kwanzaa for our girl. We’ll celebrate moon and water festivals for our boys. We'll take them to temples in certain countries. Also to church."

Pick a religion! Any religion (or all) will do nicely!

Here again we see how effectively Satan is deceiving mankind, particularly the wealthy elite of the Hollywood mainstream. Not only that, we're witnessing how a generation of children, both in Hollywood and elsewhere, are being raised to believe that anything - absolutely anything - is an acceptable form of spirituality, in spite of the fact that there is only one way to heaven and eternal life, namely through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior!

While we can hope and pray that Angelina, Brad and their children will select the proper path to follow and come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ, the problem with the "many paths" approach to spirituality is that every path other than the one true path they must follow if they are to obtain salvation and eternal life will be more acceptable and profitable for their careers than a relationship with Jesus Christ, raising the likelihood that both they and their children will continue down the pathway it appears they are presently on - the broad pathway that leads to destruction and eternal separation from God we commonly refer to as hell.

In spite of what's currently going on with Brad, Angelina and their growing brood, there is hope for all of them so we should keep them in prayer. We should pray for their salvation as we need to be doing where all of the lost are concerned, but we should make a special effort today, in light of what I've documented here, to particularly pray for those who are so enamored with celebrities they model their spiritual and moral values after them.

Hollywood is a hot bed of satanic deception and immorality as these limited examples demonstrate but the problem doesn't reside in Hollywood alone. Far from it! In the times we're presently living in, spiritual deception and confusion is being sown everywhere. In the big picture, who is surprised, right?

1st Timothy 4:1: Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Seducing spirits are everywhere these days and yet, as disturbing as that reality is, because we have been given a sure word of prophecy, it's through these signs that we can know we're living in the prophesied latter times. And what does our presence here in these latter times give us hope of? That our redemption draweth nigh! Soon, potentially very soon, we may be seeing Jesus Christ face-to-face!

Until next time, pray for the lost and deceived and meditate on this - seeing Jesus face-to-face for the very first time!
