| The Sun… The Moon… And The Stars…

Luke 21
King James Version (KJV)
21:7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
The Sun…
On December 8, 2006 a major flare on the Sun generated what scientists called a solar tsunami.
The tsunami-like shock wave, formally called a Moreton wave, rolled across the hot surface, destroying two visible filaments of cool gas on opposite sides of the visible face of the Sun.
Astronomers using a prototype of a new solar telescope in New Mexico recorded the action.
"These large scale 'blast' waves occur infrequently, however, are very powerful," said K. S. Balasubramaniam of the National Solar Observatory (NSO) in Sunspot, NM, "They quickly propagate in a matter of minutes covering the whole Sun, sweeping away filamentary material."
It is unusual to see such an event from a ground-based observatory, Balasubramaniam said. And it was also unusual that it occurred near solar minimum, when the Sun is at its least active during an 11-year cycle… (article)
The Moon…
On March 3, 2007 The Moon glided through the heart of Earth's shadow producing a brick-red lunar eclipse visible from parts of all seven continents… (article)
Picture this: The year is 2025 and you're on the moon. "Home" is 100 meters away—an outpost on the rim of Shackleton Crater. NASA started building it five years earlier, and it is growing fast. You're one of the construction workers.
As always in these polar regions, the sun hangs low, barely above the craggy lunar horizon. You adjust your visor. It amazes you how bright a low sun can be when there's no atmosphere to dim it.
Suddenly, the lights go out.
Up in the sky, a big black disk covers the sun. A red "ring of fire" appears where the sun was only moments before, and its glow turns the ground red beneath your feet.
You've been waiting for this. It's an eclipse… (article)
And the Stars…
Exploding Star Sets Longevity Record
March 8, 2007
The explosive death of a massive star has broken the record for longest-lived light show. Observations from NASA’s Swift satellite have revealed a so-called gamma-ray burst for which the afterglow remained visible for more than 125 days.
When a star that’s 10 to 25 times as massive as the Sun checks out, it can release in a matter of seconds the same amount of energy that the sun will radiate over its 10-billion-year lifetime. (article)
From December 8, 2006 to March 8, 2007 in a span of 80 days there has been as seen from the heavens no less in chronological order, signs of the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars; that is amazing... just as it was written nearly 2000 years ago has spoken by the very words of Jesus Christ to his apostles.
I can't remember witnessing so many signs from the heavens such as these and be visible to all in a such a short span of time, and now one day later after the explosive death of a massive star… we now witness this unbelievable show from space...
Alien Volcano...
March 9, 2007: Andy Cheng has seen it all. The scientist from Johns Hopkins' Applied Physics Lab has worked on the Galileo mission to Jupiter, the Cassini mission to Saturn, the NEAR mission to asteroid 433 Eros and many others during his decades-long career. Alien vistas are old hat to him.
But even he was amazed when he laid eyes on the below-linked photo of Io's Tvashtar volcano, taken Feb. 28th by the New Horizons spacecraft:

Omigod! I can't believe it. "That was my first reaction," says Cheng. "The LORRI image of the Tvashtar plume is the best and most detailed plume image that any of us -- including longtime Jupiter experts -- have ever seen." (article)
Folks, Jesus Christ is coming soon. Are you ready to meet the Lord?
There is no way to escape the conclusion that we are living on borrowed time. The signs of the times are upon us, and they are shouting for our attention.
Are you ready? If Jesus were to return today, would He be your "Blessed Hope" (Titus 2:11-14) or would He be your "Holy Terror" (Revelation 6:12-17)? If you have never received Him as your Lord and Savior, now is the time to act. Repent of your sins, and call upon the name of the Lord that you might be saved (Acts 2:14-39).
And. if you are a Christian, are you living as if Jesus might return any minute? Have you committed your life to holiness? Are you praying for the lost and witnessing the Lord when you have an opportunity?
Are you yearning for the Lord's return? Can you say with Paul that you are a candidate for a "crown of righteousness" because you have lived your life "in the love of His appearing" (2 Timothy 4:7-8)?
