For some time now, I've been discussing the possibility that Madrid, Spain would soon host a 1991-like peace conference in hope of reinvigorating the stalled Middle East peace process. What took place in 1991? Madrid hosted a peace conference which served as the impetus for the failed Oslo Accords to be born later in 1993.

As we see in a Jerusalem Post article, that conference is now underway with participants in attendance from Israel, Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, the US, the Palestinian Authority, Russia and Saudi Arabia. The European Union is, of course, hosting the event, apparently with Spain's diplomats in the leading role for now, although EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana is to arrive tomorrow, according to his personal website.

Speaking of Solana, earlier this week, on Monday, January 8th, while visiting the United States, Solana met with Richard Holbrooke, a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), which is a British think tank in the area of international affairs. The Institute describes itself as "the world’s leading authority on political-military conflict," according to Wikipedia. Not only that, it credits itself with being "hugely influential in setting the intellectual structures for managing the Cold War." Quite stimulating in light of where Solana will be headed tomorrow, isn't it?

Not only did Solana meet with the IISS, he also met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon before addressing the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). He wrapped his day up on 1-8-07 by meeting with Richard Haas, President of the Council on Foreign Relations. The CFR is often associated with new world order plots as most everyone who studies Bible prophecy knows.

Presently, the CFR is being named as a party involved in what some are suggesting is an ongoing attempt taking place under our collective noses to create a North American Union, as suggested in an Eagle Forum article from 2005, as well as by Wikipedia, which has a CFR document posted on its site it indicates is a "CFR document promoting a North American Union."

On the 9th, Solana visited with Henry Kissinger, whose name has been associated with more new world order plots and associations than Aunt Jemima has been associated with pancakes!

Where is all this headed? I don't know for sure, but we know the goal of all the primary players concerned in the matters addressed herein are new world order players, even global elitists.

From the ever-expanding revived Roman empire we call the European Union to Henry Kissinger to Richard Haas and the Council on Foreign Relations, not to mention the peacemaking and diplomatic skills of Richard Holbrooke who has associations with the Council on Foreign Relations as well as the Institute of Strategic Studies, the Rockefeller family, and the Bilderberg Group and you have the foundational elements of a new world order in the making!

Does that sound conspiracist to you? Only if you don't realize, as I do, that David Rockefeller, Richard Holbrooke, and Henry Kissinger all attended 2006's Bilderberg Group meeting in Ottawa, Canada. Haas didn't make the 2006 meeting that I can tell, but he was at the 2005 meeting of the Group. Birds of a feather...

So, everyone is gathered up in Madrid to talk Middle East peace with Spain's Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos, based on the Jerusalm Post article, apparently watching over the EU's interests, at least until Javier Solana gets there tomorrow, fresh off his visits with a host of new world order proponents in the United States.

As for Moratinos, as I noted in an earlier commentary, he's no slouch himself, having laid a great deal of the groundwork for the peace conference presently underway in Madrid.

Moratinos, as I noted in the aforementioned previous commentary from September of 2006, said at that time, "Perhaps it would be timely for all the interested parties to meet again, at the same level as in 1991, to reaffirm their commitment to a comprehensive solution and to the basic principles on which that should be based." Timely indeed, Mr. Moratinos!

Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge that it was Moratinos who affirmed one month later - in October of 2006 - that Europe had (and apparently still has) a historic opportunity to take the lead in pushing for fresh Middle East peace talks! How long have I been watching for that to take place, RaptureAlert.com fans?

Not only will Moratinos be working the crowds for the revived Roman empire of Bible prophecy, I'm relatively certain that Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, who I noted in early 2006 was a major end times player by way of his efforts to establish an Alliance of Civilizations, as well as supportive of a "United Nations of Religions" being formed, will be pressing the flesh in Madrid as well.

In conclusion, none of what I've said in this commentary should really shock anyone as the Word of God reveals that a prince (or leader) of Roman descent from within the revived Roman empire we today call the European Union is going to confirm (or make strong) a covenant of peace seven years in length "with many," as detailed in Daniel 9:26-27. Upon doing that, this leader is going to begin an incredible ascent to the top of a new world order that has been being mapped out for quite some time it would appear, perhaps right under our noses!

Within all that I've documented here, we see that things are aswirl that have much to do with what Bible prophecy tells us is ultimately going to come to pass. Thus, our need to remain spiritually focused at this moment in human history.

Someday, perhaps in the not-too-distant future, the Church, which consists of everyone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, is going to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, after which (or near simultaneously) the prophesied Antichrist, whomever he may be, will be revealed to the world as the man who finally came up with a plan promising to bring a lasting peace to the Middle East. But there will be no lasting peace.

1st Thessalonians 5:3: For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Shortly after the advent of Antichrist occurs, peace will be taken from the earth as the son of perdition's new world order begins attempting to solidify his throne of global power. Later, perhaps even by way of Rabbi Yona Metzger's 'United Nations of Religions' , the prophesied False Prophet of Antichrist will prominently appear on the world stage. Eventually, if not right away, he will throw his full support behind the Antichrist in fulfillment of the 13th chapter of the book of Revelation and the mark of the beast the new world order will use to control the masses will be intoduced.

The Madrid Peace Conference is off and running! While it is being suggested that this event is an ""unofficial gathering" rather than negotiations," the Jerusalem Post article indicates its purpose is to "reignite the spirit of peacemaking of the 1991 Madrid peace conference."

While I have no idea what, if anything, of note will come of this meeting, I wouldn't be surprised at all if a "spirit of peacemaking" comes out of this event because of all the new world order elements involved behind the scenes of it, as documented in this commentary.

Is our Lord and Savior's return at the door? I certainly suspect so.
