| The Arab/Muslim world smells blood, but whose?

President Bush is claiming Israel won its war against Hezbollah, stating, ""Hezbollah attacked Israel. Hezbollah started the crisis, and Hezbollah suffered a defeat in this crisis." Not according to the Arab world! The Arab world, bolstered by the international community's concerted efforts to prevent Israel from completely eliminating the threat posed by Hezbollah, believes that Hezbollah won the war and that Israel is retreating. So much for the "war on terror!" In this instance, it was little more than an incursion on terror, no thanks to the international community, which, in typical fashion, found everything wrong it possibly could concerning Israel's behavior while looking the other way as literally thousands of missiles fired were fired by Hezbollah at 100% civilian targets! Once again, this proves that the jihadists are correct when they state that the West doesn't have the guts to stick it out against their brand of warfare.
I recently wrote the following in a commentary. I bring it up because I'm going to demonstrate how what I said in that instance is undeniably true. I wrote:
In the Bible, we're told there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heavens (Ecclesiastes 3:1). This includes a time to kill (Ecclesiastes 3:3), as well as a time to make war (Ecclesiastes 3:8). Having said that, I'm going to cut right to the chase. It's time for Israel to make war with Hezbollah and to kill it! This each and every American should pray for Israel to succeed in doing at this time as the threat posed to Israel by Hezbollah (and all Islamic terrorist organizations for that matter) is a legitimate threat to the United States of America as well. Or have we forgotten the Beirut barracks bombing of 1983 that left 241 of our own dead - 220 Marines, 18 Navy personnel and 3 Army soldiers?
A Wikipedia article states the Beirut barracks bombing was the deadliest single-day death toll for the United States Marine Corps since the Battle of Iwo Jima (2,500 in one day) of World War II. In the 1983 attack, it was believed that Hezbollah, trained by Iranian Revolutionary Guards, had played a prominent role in both the bombing of the US Marine barracks and a similar simultaneous attack on a French barracks. The French responded by attacking Hezbollah somewhat, but the United States didn't. Why? Because we didn't want to harm U.S. relations with other Arab nations.
Are things any better today as a result of the United States turning the other cheek to the tune of 241 dead? No. In fact, as we're presently seeing, the terrorists were emboldened by our failure to decimate them as we could've and should've. They saw our desire and willingness to befriend them as a weakness, the barbarians that they are. Don't we, as such, owe Israel a little time to set matters aright where our mutual enemy Hezbollah is concerned? I'll bet the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and wives of 241 dead US servicemen think so!
We're in the present mess we're in because the dirty job that needed to be done long ago didn't get done. If it had been, maybe, just maybe, the world would be a safer place today. But we dropped the ball - in the interest of making friendly with the followers of a religion that will settle for nothing other than the destruction of the nation of Israel, as well as the West, namely the United States of America. In doing so, we played the fool. Apparently, we liked the role of fool so much that, even now, as a member of the international community, we are subtly trying to call the Israelis off of the same terrorists that killed our Marines in 1983.
The dust of Israeli tanks rolling through Lebanon on their way to crush Hezbollah hasn't even settled and already the Arab world is proclaiming victory, as seen in an Israel National News article, which opens as follows, corroborating what I wrote on this topic earlier:
Arabs and Muslims from Iran, Hizbullah and the PA are celebrating Israel’s acceptance of the UN ceasefire, dubbing it a "surrender" and calling on Arab states to attack the new "weak" Israel.
Israel, withdrawing at the bequest of the international community as opposed to losing in battle, is being declared weak and the loser of the war by its terrorist enemies. Not only that, Muslims and Arabs are already calling on other nations in the region to attack weak little Israel. Congratulations, Kofi Annan and company! On behalf of Israel, Bible-believing Christians, and those everywhere around the globe who truly want to see peace, thanks for nothing! The dirty job that needed to be done was started but left unfinished. Predictably, as was the case in the past, the kindness of the world in seeking peace has been viewed by the wicked as weakness, giving those whose openly-stated goal is to force the entire world into the worship of radical Islam's Allah reason to believe they are eventually going to win! Truly, the god of this world has the wool pulled over the collective eyes of those who can't see this!
Already, right now even, Syria is re-arming Hezbollah, as seen in a Haaretz article. And Iran? Israeli soldiers uncovered the bodies of a number of fighters which all indications were members of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, based on tattoos observed on their bodies.
Needless to say, on this second day of Iran's planned Holocaust cartoon exhibit, the Iranian regime will soon begin aiding in the process of re-arming Hezbollah as well, if it isn't already. Logic dictates that to be true, given the Iranian Revolutionary Guard had soldiers on the ground involved in the fighting!
Israeli opposition leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is quoted in a Jerusalem Post article as saying, "Unfortunately, there will be another round [in this war] because the government's just demands weren't met" by the cease-fire agreement that went into effect Monday morning. The [kidnapped] soldiers weren't returned home, the Hizbullah was not disarmed … Right now, we are [merely] in an interim period between wars. And there is no one who will prevent our enemies from rearm[ing] and preparing for the next round."
Are we still on the road to Armageddon, in spite of the fact the United Nations is planning to deploy a larger contingent of international peacekeeping forces to the Middle East, potentially very quickly? Absolutely. All one has to do to see that Benjamin Netanyahu is correct is read what Hizbullah central council member Ahmed Barakat told Qatari newspaper al-Watan on Sunday, as documented in the Israel National News article linked above (emphasis added mine):
"Today Arab and Muslim society is reasonably certain that the defeat of Israel is possible, and that countdown to the disappearance of the Zionist entity in the region has begun… If a mere organization succeeded in defeating Israel, why would Arab nations not succeed in doing so if they allied? Many Arabs and Muslims viewed Israel in a fictional way and the resistance has succeeded in changing this."
And who do we have to thank for the Arabs and Muslims threatening to wipe Israel off the face of the earth? Those who say they want to see a "sustainable peace" in the Middle East, of course.
As Hezbollah's leadership, as well as the Arabs and Muslims of the region, discusses the logic that will someday lead to the Gog-Magog attack occurring in the prophetic future, the world is traveling down a slippery slope which is leading us closer and closer to both the Gog-Magog invasion attempt to come and, ultimately, Armageddon. What these wicked people bent on Israel's destruction fail to bear in mind, however, is that the One whose eyes are forever on Israel and keeps Israel in existence against overwhelming odds, at least in a human sense, neither slumbers nor sleeps, as seen in Psalm 121:4.
What the Arab world is smelling is indeed blood, but it's not Israel's. It's their own, as time and the fulfillment of Bible prophecy will bear to be true.
Long after the Arab and Muslim enemies of Israel have received the reward their present and past terroristic actions warrant, Jesus Christ will sit upon His throne in Jerusalem. Yes, Israel is going to survive! And there isn't even one thing the lot of them can do about it! Thus sayeth the Lord!
Keep looking up --- and pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
